Job Description:
Client is seeking Propulsion Test Engineers located at Kennedy Space Center, FL.
Position Responsibilities
  • Performs test engineering activities, including detailed operating procedure authoring and execution on spacecraft propulsion systems to achieve test, verification, and vehicle production objectives.
  • Hypergolic propellant servicing.
  • Develops and executes steps to perform component removals, replacement, and re-test on systems that contain hypergolic propellants.
  • Leak testing of spacecraft propulsion systems.

Required Skills, Experience, and Education
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • Previous experience loading hypergolic propellants or performing other test related operations on hypergol contaminated propellant systems.
  • Previous experience leak checking spacecraft fluid systems.
  • Previous experience developing procedures to leak check and perform functional testing of spacecraft hypergolic propellant systems.
  • Previous experience operating high-pressure pneumatic equipment, including to pressurize flight hardware.
  • Previous experience task leading technicians, QA team members, and other test engineers to execute testing.
  • Strong troubleshooting capabilities required to document and resolve non-conformances on both ground support equipment and flight hardware.
  • 5+ years propulsion related fluids test engineering experience on spacecraft.
  • Willing to work overtime and off shift operations, including 2nd and 3rd shift.

Desired Skills, Experience, and Education
  • Current Non-Destructive Test (NDT) Leak Test certification
  • Current SCAPE/SAR certification
