We are seeking a full time, permanent Pharmacy Coordinator. This role will report to the Director of Client Services/Program Manager. This is Non-Exempt role in our 340B Program.
Job Summary:
The Pharmacy Coordinator plays a critical leadership role in managing the daily operations of the 340B pharmacy program.
This position is responsible for overseeing medication coordination, ensuring compliance with 340B program regulations, and supporting client adherence efforts.
The Pharmacy Coordinator will supervise the Treatment Adherence Specialist and work closely with pharmacy partners, healthcare providers, and case managers to facilitate seamless medication access for clients.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to enhancing client health outcomes through effective medication management and collaborative teamwork.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Client Enrollment & Eligibility
• Facilitate the enrollment of eligible clients into the 340B program by confirming all required documentation and eligibility criteria.
• Verify client eligibility by ensuring valid covered entity encounters, appropriate provider relationships, and prescription linkage.
• Collaborate with clinical and client services staff to identify and enroll eligible clients at intake or during re-engagement.
• Maintain accurate and current enrollment records in internal tracking systems. Medication Adherence & Pharmacy Coordination
• Monitor pharmacy dispensing reports to assess medication adherence and refill history.
• Partner with contract pharmacies (e.g., Avita) to ensure timely and accurate submission of prescription and dispensing data.
• Proactively flag clients with missed refills or signs of non-adherence and conduct timely follow-up.
• Document all adherence-related outreach and coordination activities in the client record or designated data systems.
Documentation & Compliance:
• Ensure that all 340B-qualifying prescriptions, encounters, and services are documented in accordance with federal and program guidelines.
• Support audit readiness by maintaining well-organized client records, reports, and correspondence.
• Participate in internal quality assurance reviews and external compliance audits as required.
Client Support & Education:
• Educate clients on the benefits of the 340B program and the importance of medication adherence.
• Identify and address barriers to medication access, including issues related to transportation, insurance coverage, or pharmacy misunderstandings.
• Coordinate with case managers and care teams to incorporate adherence strategies into holistic client care plans.
Reporting & Program Improvement:
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reports summarizing adherence trends, refill data, and client engagement.
• Identify and escalate high-risk clients who may benefit from enhanced care coordination or follow-up.
• Contribute insights and recommendations to improve 340B program workflows and client services.
Experience and Skills
Qualifications & Education:
• Bachelor's degree or pharmacy-related certificate preferred Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years working as a pharmacy technician, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role
• Experience in a 340B pharmacy program strongly preferred
• Proficiency with Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
• Experience working with diverse populations and community health programs Licenses/Certifications:
• Active Pharmacy Technician Certification (required)
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (past 3 years)
• Willingness to complete 340B training and certification within 90 days of hire
Physical Demands:
This position requires extended periods of sitting, data entry, and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. The role may include exposure to external environments during community engagement or pharmacy visits.

Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm OR 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
