Seeking for professionals to support OMESIII contract at the NASA Godard Space Flight Center (GSFC) in Greenbelt, Maryland to provide computer System Administration to support the Joint Polar Satellite Systems (JPSS) Project.
Roles/Responsibilities:
We are seeking a very technically qualified systems administrator to work with the Flight Vehicle Test Suite team to provide IT systems administration services. This is a full-time position.

Job Responsibilities
- Perform hands on technical duties with Windows and Linux servers /desktops.
- Respond to trouble tickets for troubleshooting software, hardware, and networking issues.
- Perform system maintenance and software installations in a Windows/Linux environment.
- Configure IT hardware, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with our standards and project requirements.
- Install and maintain monthly security patches as required.
- Tracking and Resolving findings from NOAA and NASA security audits.
- Develop, install, and maintain VMs.
- Develop and maintain thorough documentation of installation, configuration, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Ability to multi-task and change direction as needed to meet customer needs
- Individual must meet government and citizenship/work permit requirements for access to NASA GSFC. US citizenship required.
- Experience in proving systems administration support for Linux and Windows systems.
- Experience with Windows servers 2016/2019/2022.
- Experience with Linux servers.
- Experience with system imaging and migration.
- Knowledge of networking and TCP/IP.
- Knowledge of patch management.
- At least 15 years of experience in systems administration with Linux and Windows Systems.
- Experience with various server types (web, file, license, application, etc.)
- Experience with VMware vCenter and vSphere v7 or newer.
- Experience with Veeam backup software.
- Experience with Security packages (McAfee, Nessus, BigFix, Splunk, ORadar, and Tripwire)
- Experience with the network environment at Goddard Space Flight Center.
- Familiarity with compliance requirements of the NIST FIPS/FISMA or other formal IT Security compliance program.
- BA/BS or higher preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Security+ Certification or equivalent
