Candidates should be prepared to discuss the potential for a permanent position during the interview. Candidates will undergo a preliminary screening interview followed by peer interviews. The registered sonographer will collaborate closely with providers, genetic counselors, medical assistants, nurses, and patient care representatives. The team sees an average of 50-75 patients a day among three providers. Sonographers are certified for cervical length examinations through CLEAR. Routine OB exams include first trimester viability assessments, nuchal translucency screening and early anatomy examinations. Additional services provided include detailed anatomical surveys, third trimester anatomy examinations, cervical length assessments, and biophysical profiles. Limited procedures such as ultrasound-guided invasive procedures and fetal echo Doppler studies are also performed. A wide range of patient diagnoses are encountered daily, including congenital cardiac defects and fetal growth restrictions. The role involves performing multiple add-on examinations throughout the day. PACS and portable ultrasound experience is preferred. Scrub colors are navy pants and ceil blue tops. COVID-19 vaccination is required, and medical exemptions are allowed. The flu vaccine is required during flu season, with exemptions granted for medical reasons only. Travelers must maintain a smoke and nicotine-free status. All candidates must have current licenses in hand at the time of submission. Candidates with pending licensure will not be considered. On-call responsibilities may be required in some areas. Floating may occur in rotation, following established policies and standards. Modules may be required as part of the onboarding process.
