Job Summary: Greeting and rooming patientsAssisting providers with cast and splint applicationsAssisting providers with minor office proceduresDispensing DME per provider ordersEntering orders and managing cast supply inventoryEducating patients/caregivers on cast/splint care and durable medical equipmentAssisting with dressing changes and suture removal as neededOther LPN duties as requested The Nurse/Orthopedic Assistant will be responsible primarily for assisting providers with applying casts and dispensing DME as well as assisting with minor procedures in the office. Other duties could include with appointment scheduling, chart preparation, image order completion, stocking rooms, and sterilizing instruments. EMR proficiency, ability to multitask, critical thinking skills, and flexibility are imperative. Minimum Qualifications: NYS licensed/registered LPN. Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required.
