Description: This position requires a surgical technologist with a focus on first assist duties. The unit has a total of 11 operating rooms. Patient ratios are 1:1. Staffing includes unit secretaries and technical support. The unit is equipped with various types of tables including Hanah, Jackson, vascular, cystoscopy, and robotic beds. Documentation is performed using Meditech. Scheduling includes options for 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts. On-call duty is required one night per week and one and a half weekends every eight weeks. Weekend shifts consist of 48 hours, while half weekends are 24-hour shifts. Floating to other areas may be required. Key procedures performed on the unit include cystoscopy, lumbar laminectomy, total joints, robotic general surgery, robotic gynecological surgery, ENT procedures, minimal plastic surgeries, and breast surgeries. All candidates must possess BLS certification. Dress code and unit-specific policies apply and are available upon request.
