Job Title: Dental HygienistLocation: New York, NY 10037Duration: 13 weeksSchedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (40 hours/week)Pay Range: $50 - $60 per hour (USD)Position Summary:The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing preventative dental care and education to patients, supporting overall oral health, and assisting the dental team in delivering comprehensive dental services.Key Responsibilities: Remove calcareous deposits, accretions, and stains from teeth Apply topical agents such as fluoride and sealants Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care techniques Place and expose X-ray films for diagnostic use Polish teeth to remove plaque and surface stains Take and record medical histories and vital signs Chart caries, periodontal conditions, and oral pathology Apply pit and fissure sealants and desensitizing agentsRequired Skills & Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Dental Hygienist Valid license to practice as a Dental Hygienist issued by the New York State Education Department (NYSED) Primary source license verification required X-ray certification preferred Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to patient care
