Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist with ARRT certification and recent imaging department experience to provide high-quality MRI imaging services. Responsibilities Work in a hospital magnetic resonance imaging departmentDuties include positioning patients, administering contrast media, and operating MRI scanners and peripheral equipment10-hour day shifts with a rotation of 2 twelve-hour shifts on weekends and 2 eight-hour evening shifts during the weekCall rotation and holiday call requiredHandles a patient population ranging from pediatric to adultParticipation in QA testing, equipment checks, and cross-training as neededResponsibilities include evaluating physician orders, preparing and positioning patients, screening for allergies and implanted devices, and documenting thoroughlyTasks include communication with patients to explain the MRI procedure and reduce anxietyMay assist physicians with sterile techniques and peripheral equipment during proceduresResponsible for maintaining equipment, reporting malfunctions, and restocking suppliesParticipation in staff meetings, continuing education, and orientation of students or new staff as neededCall duties and holiday coverage are part of the scheduleScrubs or appropriate attire required per department policyLocal candidates within a 50-mile radius will be considered Requirements Completion of a post-secondary program at an approved School of Radiologic TechnologyCurrent ARRT certification in MRIActive CPR certificationAt least 12 months prior experience in a medical imaging departmentAnalytical skills to obtain high-quality MRI images and knowledge of cross-sectional anatomyAbility to perform intravenous injections and administer contrast mediaLicense required if applicable Benefits High Pay and BonusesMedical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 OptionsGenerous Housing AllowanceNon-taxed Per Diem and SubsidyWeekly Payroll DepositFree Online CEUs401(k) PlanTraveler Rewards and DiscountsTravel and Licensure Reimbursements
