CT Technologist

Position: CT TechnologistLocation: Elmhurst, NYPay Rate: $71/HRSchedule: 12:00 AM-8:30 AM - Rotating weekends is a requirement, and workers must report as scheduled, including holidays. Duties:- Gathering relevant medical history from the patient, including symptoms, allergies (especially to contrast media), and any contraindications for the scan.- Observing and monitoring patients during the scan for any signs of discomfort, distress, or adverse reactions- Meticulously positioning patients on the CT scanner table to ensure the correct body part is aligned for optimal image acquisition.- Explaining the CT procedure to the patient in clear, understandable terms, addressing any questions, and providing reassurance and support to alleviate anxiety.- Setting up and calibrating the CT scanner, power injectors, and related equipment. Performing regular warm-up sequences to ensure optimal performance.Requirements:- 1 year CT Technologist experience, Relevant Equipment.- A valid license as a radiologic technologist, nuclear medicine technologist or in radiation therapy issued by the NYSDOH and post primary certification in computed tomography issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.- BLS preferred.- ARRT is required
