Diagnostic Cardiac SonographerEssential Responsibilities: Performing diagnostic procedures, using knowledge, skills and abilities required for age of patient served to include: Routine, emergent, portable, surgical examinations in accordance with department policies and procedures. Communication with Cardiologist. Assist patient/transport. Data Entry. File work. Restocking supplies/cleaning. Quality Assurance functions. Other duties as assigned. Other duties as assigned.Variable - Participates in on-call or standby schedule as required.EducationA minimum two (2) year AMA approved program and successful completion of one year Ultrasound training and certification, ORTwo (2) years Allied Health and successful completion and certification of two (2) year ARDMS program, ORSuccessful completion of an AMA accredited Ultrasound program, ARDMS registered or CardioVascular Credentialing International (CCI) (new grads within one (1) year of hire for registration).High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.License, Certification, RegistrationRegistered Cardiac Sonographer Certificate within 12 months of hire from Cardiovascular Credentialing International OR Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Certificate within 12 months of hire from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical SonographersSonography Technologist License (Oregon)Basic Life Support within 1 months of hirePreferred Qualifications: Previous experience with TEE, Stress Echo Pediatric Echosonography.
