About the LPN PositionWe are looking for a reliable LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) to care for dialysis patients in a professional and considerate manner in their home. You will work under the supervision of a registered nurse or doctor.Be willing to train, if not experienced in Peritoneal and Hemo dialysis.The position requires driving to the patients home and providing hemodialysis treaments, assisting with PD dialysis in SNF facility. Must be work independently under the RN delegation of task. Be willing to drive 2 hours to provide patient care. Flexible schedule. LPN professionals must be first and foremost qualified and compassionate. The ideal candidate will is experienced in providing different basic care needs to those who require it, while remaining patient, calm, and kind. It is a demanding job but also very rewarding.LPN ResponsibilitiesRecord a patient's medical history accuratelyTake and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, etc.Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications, etc.Monitor patients' condition including fluid intake and output and compose patient chart.Administer injections, prescribed medications, enemas, etc., clean and dress wounds and help with other basic medical care tasksCollect samples for lab testing as assignedProvide emotional and psychological support when neededCommunicate with patients' family or friends to give advice, comfort and release instructionsLPN RequirementsProven experience as LPN or similar roleAbility to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary teamFamiliarity with hospital health, safety and sanitation standards and proceduresUnderstanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practicesExcellent knowledge of medical and hospital terminologySolid knowledge of MS Office and data entryPerfect physical condition and staminaExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsCompassionate and able to handle stressSuccessful completion of LPN license program is a must
