Support from an RN will be available. Every other weekend work is a requirement. This position involves night shift responsibilities. Facility is a tertiary care hospital with a total of 528 staffed beds. The facility commonly uses a combination of navy and white for scrubs. The daily census is approximately 26 patients. The unit accommodates adult and geriatric patient age groups. Patient diagnoses include COPD exacerbations, infections, and failure to thrive. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. The position may involve floating to different areas within the medical-surgical department. Candidates must be within a certain distance of the facility. Charting experience in Epic is a hard requirement. Background checks will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Successful candidates must be able to provide care in accordance with current standards for the medical surgical specialty. Skills required include monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and providing wound care. Telemetry monitoring experience is also essential.
