Description Position at Putnam Hospital Center JOB SUMMARY:Under general direction of the Director of Radiology, performs safe, effective and efficient operation of Magnetic Resonance Imaging equipment to perform tests and procedures to acquire information in the diagnosis of patient illnesses and/or trauma-related injuries. Prepare, operate and promote maintenance of assigned imaging equipment. Maintain appropriate records and documentation.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate Degree in Science, with emphasis on physics, is preferred.Licensure/Registration/Certification: Graduate of an approved MRI training program preferred.Work Experience: Familiar with hospital setting. At least one (1) year prior experience in MRI and must be proficient in magnetic resonance imaging. Must have working knowledge of radio frequency wave and magnetic field technology, cross section anatomy, computer science, spectroscopy, and/or electronics.Working Conditions:Manual: Some manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterityOccupational: Some occupational riskPhysical Effort: Very Heavy effort.
