We want your knowledge and expertise!Job Summary and QualificationsAs an Echo Vascular Technologist, you will be responsible for the performance of non-invasive cardiovascular procedures including but not limited to adult/pediatric echocardiography and vascular procedures. You will work closely with other healthcare team members to facilitate exceptional patient care and efficient completion of diagnostic studies while also promoting optimal unit operations and acting as a preceptor. You will adhere to customer service standards while maintaining a clean, efficient, and safe work environment.You will utilize open, professional communication (verbal, non-verbal, and written) to directly interact with physicians, patients, guests, and other health team membersYou will make decisions of moderate difficulty that reflect both knowledge and good judgementYou will handle confidential information regarding patient activitiesYou will demonstrate an effective working knowledge of all equipment used in Cardiology and related to their job functionsYou will demonstrate competency in arrhythmia interpretationExperienceOne year experience performing adult echocardiograms – preferredProficiency in Stress Echo, TEE – preferredProficiency in Carotid ultrasound, Trans Cranial Doppler studies – preferredEducationAssociate’s Degree in Ultrasound Technology educationLicenses and CertificationsBasic Life Support (BLS) as per St. David’s Healthcare policyRegistry in Cardiac Ultrasound (RDCS) from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) from ARDMS or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) from CCISt. David’s Medical Center, part of St. David’s HealthCare, is a comprehensive medical facility with three locations: St. David’s Medical Center, Heart Hospital of Austin, and St. David’s Georgetown Hospital.
