The unit features a bed capacity of 3. There are 19 staff members working in the unit. Staffing includes day shifts with varying hours and night shifts. Patient ratios are 1:1. The equipment used includes GE 64 slice VCT, GE 64 slice EVO, and GE 256 slice Revolution. The electronic medical record system is Meditech. Typical procedures in this unit include: Neuro exams, including CT and CTA of the head, neck, and spine. Abdominal exams, including CT and CTA of the aorta, abdomen/pelvis, and runoffs. MSK exams, including extremities and arthrograms. The ideal candidate will possess a friendly personality with excellent communication skills, both on the phone and in person. A team player who strives to maintain a relaxed and fun work environment is preferred. The facility is an integral part of trauma and stroke service lines. As a comprehensive stroke center, stroke alerts are prioritized for immediate response. Procedural exams, including biopsies, drains, and oncology interventions, are routinely performed. A new 256 slice scanner is available, capable of scanning entire organs in one rotation. Candidates should be prepared to work weekends and holidays in rotation with hospital employees.
