Job Description American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a busy Level I trauma operating room with advanced case variety and Neuro, ENT, and Robotics experience highly preferred. Responsibilities Work in a large Main Operating Room within a Level I trauma, Magnet-designated, academic teaching hospitalUnit supports all surgical specialties, including Trauma, Ortho, Neuro, ENT, GU/GYN, Robotics, and Transplant/Procurement casesSchedule consists of 4x10 hour mid shifts, 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM, with holiday rotationNo required weekend shifts, but 2 weekend call shifts per month are required (12-hour call: 7A-7P or 7P-7A)Floating between like units or to meet facility needs is expected21 operating suites available, supporting both elective and emergent casesUses Davinci Xi robotic system and EPIC for charting; EPIC experience preferredRadiation badge must be provided by the agencyScrub color is providedDuties include scrubbing for a full spectrum of cases such as trauma, ortho, neuro, ENT, robotics, transplant, GU/GYN, and burnsJoin a dynamic OR team with a strong RN and Certified Surgical Technologist presence where RNs both scrub and circulateExpect a fast-paced, nurse-driven environment with cutting-edge technologyCompliance modules must be completed pre-start and average 4 hoursDuring hurricane season (June–November), all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams as neededAll requested time off must be declared up front; RTO after submission is not accepted and lengthy RTO or holiday dates require approvalReturning staff must have been separated from the facility for one year before eligibility as a travelerParking requires a $20 registration fee for a parking hang tag valid for a designated garage Requirements Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Certified Surgical TechnologistNBSTSA certification required; NCCT certification not acceptedBLS certification requiredRecent experience with Neuro (spines/crani), ENT (flaps), and Robotics (Davinci Xi) cases highly preferredLevel I trauma experience requiredRadiation badge required for considerationFirst-time travelers will be considered60 mile radius rule applies for local candidates; locals may be considered at a reduced rateLicense required if applicable Benefits High Pay and BonusesMedical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 OptionsGenerous Housing AllowanceNon-taxed Per Diem and SubsidyWeekly Payroll DepositFree Online CEUs401(k) PlanTraveler Rewards and DiscountsTravel and Licensure Reimbursements
