As a Specialty Pharmacy Technician, you'll be part of an exciting new frontier in pharmacy.Our current shifts are Monday through Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.Under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, you will provide exceptional care to patients who rely on high-touch medications. In this role, you'll be responsible for filling prescriptions, managing inventory, and working with insurance companies to ensure patients have timely access to their medications - all while making a direct and meaningful impact on their lives.Step into a role where your work truly matters. Join us at Kootenai's Specialty Pharmacy and grow your career while making a difference.Position Summary: As a certified pharmacy technician, prepares, compounds, and dispenses medical orders/prescriptions under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.Responsibilities:May be expected to perform some clerical duties relating to the departmentReceives and stores incoming suppliesVerifies stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory recordsCommunicates effectively with customersPerforms a variety of tasksRelies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goalsTypically reports to supervisor or managerPerforms other related duties as assignedFamiliar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the fieldRegular and predictable attendance is an essential job functionCompetent to meet age specific needs of the unit assignedRequirements and Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED preferredGraduate of a Pharmacy Technician training program or equivalent work experience preferredPharmacy Technician license with the Idaho Board of Pharmacy required.
