Our client in the banking industry is seeking an AP Specialist for a 3-4 month temporary position. The ideal candidate will have 2-3+ years of banking experience in Accounting/Accounts Payable, strong Excel skills, attention to detail, adaptability, self-motivation, and teamwork skills. The role is hybrid in Newport Beach, CA, requiring on-site presence for training. Compensation ranges from $27.00 to $32.00 per hour, depending on skills, experience, and location.
Responsibilities
- Process full-cycle accounts payable transactions accurately and promptly.
- Review invoices and resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal teams.
- Maintain organized records of payments and related documentation.
- Collaborate with departments to address payment or invoice issues.
- Monitor reports and ensure compliance with financial policies.
Requirements
- 2-3+ years of accounting or accounts payable experience, ideally in banking.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.
- Strong attention to detail for accuracy.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proactive, team-oriented, and problem-solving mindset.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in accounting or finance is a plus.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles relevant to accounts payable.
- Experience with accounting software or ERP systems.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work efficiently under pressure.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial data.
