This critical team member prepares patients and diagnostic equipment for imaging procedures, performs full transthoracic echocardiography procedures, fields member questions, and assists physicians with interpretation.Key Responsibilities Preparing patients and diagnostic equipment for imaging procedures Performing full transthoracic echocardiography procedures Fielding member questions and ensuring a comfortable setting Entering accurate data Assisting physicians with interpretation Maintaining up-to-date medical records and clinical systems Perform echocardiographic exams using 2-D imaging, M-Mode, CW, PW, and Color Flow Doppler Prepare preliminary reports for physician review Utilize ultrasound enhancing agents and perform saline contrast studies as needed Explain procedures clearly to members and address concerns Accurately enter test data and patient information into clinical systems Maintain/calibrate equipment and ensure quality control Consider age-specific needs of each member in all duties Assist with transporting patients to and from exam rooms Travel locally/regionally up to 50% with portable echo machineSkills Strong customer service orientation Critical thinking and decision-making abilities Detail-oriented and accurate with data entry High emotional intelligence and ability to manage stress Self-starter with creativity and problem-solving skills Ability to work with all levels of staff, members, families, and vendors Excellent analytical and reasoning skillsEducation Current state licensure(s), including RDMS, medical imaging permit, and BLS certification Credentialed as RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS (CCI)Experience Minimum of 2 years as an Imaging Tech Proficient with PC systemsAdditional Requirements Fluency in Spanish or other community languages (as applicable)Medix Overview:With over 20 years of experience connecting organizations with highly qualified professionals, Medix is a leading provider of workforce solutions for clients and candidates across the healthcare, scientific, technology, and government industries.
