Mammography Technologist

Position Overview:Seeking a Technologist to join the Radiology team for a 13-week contract. This position is focused on performing a variety of mammography exams, including needle and wire localizations, stereotactic biopsies, and DEXA exams (training provided). The technologist will also be responsible for daily and weekly quality control (QC) tasks, including maintaining the Faxitron Core Specimen Biopsy Unit. The role offers a Monday through Friday schedule with no weekend or holiday requirements. Certifications Required: ARRT (R) (M) - Mammography BLS (Basic Life Support) CA Rad and Mammography License •Key Responsibilities Perform all mammography exams, including routine, needle and wire localizations, and stereotactic biopsies. Assist in DEXA scans (training provided). Conduct daily and weekly QC to ensure optimal image quality and equipment performance. Operate the Faxitron Core Specimen Biopsy Unit. Ensure patient safety and comfort during all procedures. Adhere to all standards of practice, including MQSA daily QC protocols. Maintain accurate records and imaging data in Cerner EMR system.
