A leading national retailer is seeking a Promotional Coordinator to support its Circular Marketing team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and flawless execution of weekly ads and special promotional events. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented, early-career professional with at least one year of hands-on experience in advertising, merchandising, or promotions (internships alone are not sufficient).In this role, you will partner with Category Managers and cross-functional teams to execute weekly and event-driven circular offers, manage ExtraBuck-style promotions, and resolve any offer discrepancies. You'll play a key part in the end-to-end promotional lifecycle-from offer setup and compliance review to creative approval and signage coordination-ensuring all marketing materials are accurate, compliant, and impactful. Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure accuracy of pricing and promotional details across multiple ad versions, using internal systems and Microsoft Office toolsCoordinate with stakeholders across Inventory, Merchandising, Legal, Creative, Customer Relations, and POS teams to manage offer approvals and resolve any issues related to promotionsSupport the ad change management process, including real-time updates to promotional items and follow-up on customer or field issuesServe as the central communication point between internal teams regarding weekly circular ads, special events, and POS signageAdvise on offer setup, compliance risks, and promotional strategy, including offer structure and system limitationsConduct audits of promotional submissions to ensure all information is complete, accurate, and within compliance guidelinesAssist in identifying and resolving customer complaints or pricing issues stemming from marketing offersMonitor ad and POS scanning accuracy, track errors, and ensure all promotions are executed cleanly and consistently Required QualificationsMinimum 1+ years of professional experience in advertising, merchandising, or a similar promotions-based environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Acrobat; internal tools will be taughtStrong attention to detail with the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlinesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Preferred QualificationsBackground in circular marketing or weekly retail promotionsExperience working in a highly regulated or compliance-driven environmentKnowledge of promotion-related compliance standards (legal, pricing accuracy, customer rights) EducationBachelor's degree preferred; equivalent work experience acceptedHigh School Diploma or GED required This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-volume, deadline-driven retail marketing environment and wants to build foundational experience in advertising operations and promotional compliance.Ask ChatGPTPay Details: $24.00 to $25.00 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
