Job DescriptionChubb is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Senior Underwriter to drive growth initiatives in the consolidation team and manage large portfolio opportunities. This role requires leveraging Chubb's full suite of Property and Casualty products to craft tailored solutions for our clients, in a growing market opportunity. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commercial multi-line underwriting acumen and demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills, with a focus on profitability and growth.Major Duties & Responsibilities: Underwriting responsibilities include evaluating, accepting, rejecting, or modifying Small Business risks within established underwriting guidelines and authority Demonstrate strong underwriting quality and profitability through appropriate risk assessment and documentationTakes ownership for an assigned territory and communicates underwriting decisions quickly and effectively with assigned agents. Assigned territory to include specific book consolidation deal by producer.Develop and maintain strategic relationships with Business Development Leaders and Operations Leads to enhance profitability and growth within the assigned territoryIdentify and capitalize on enterprise cross-sell opportunities using Chubb's comprehensive product suiteUnderstand the unique needs of large portfolio clients and collaborate with agents to deliver Chubb's value proposition effectivelyCreate, implement, and execute strategic agency plans in partnership with Operations Leads to drive business results QualificationsMinimum 3 years experience in multi-line underwriting within the Small and Lower Middle Market space, with a proven track record in managing large portfoliosMust possess a strong commercial multi-line underwriting acumen with the ability to handle and make rapid decisions on small business risksDemonstrate tenacious problem solving skills and the ability to adapt to change as the company advances its strategic visionStrong sales acumen, effective communication and creative marketing skills are critical; must be able to demonstrate success with managing tight time frames, high volumes of work, agency relationships and positioning Chubb's strengths within Small Business and Lower Middle MarketExhibit a strong entrepreneurial attitude needed to build a high performing territoryA strong track record of service orientation is required.
