Department: MarketingSupervisor: Assistant General Manager Classification: Part-Time/Non-exempt/SeasonalSummaryThe Fayetteville Woodpeckers are seeking a Marketing Associate. This position will work with the Assistant General Manager and the Marketing Manager on developing and executing digital, social, and traditional marketing strategies. This position is located in Fayetteville, NC.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Assist with the development and posting of engaging content to the Woodpeckers Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Tik TokInteract with and respond to fans/users' comments, questions, etc.Assist with the creation of collateralAssist with event-day marketing (press operations, ticket distribution, analytics & fan engagement)Maintain content calendar to ensure correct and relevant contentA focus on grassroots marketing; attend events in the community promoting upcoming gamesAssist in the creation of unique, behind-the-scenes content and graphics for use by Woodpeckers' mediaUpdate image/b-roll library and maintain the organization of it throughout the seasonAssist the Special Events department, when needed, for any day-of-event hospitalitySupport the Events/PR and Sponsorships team in the day-to-day tasks to support each departmentPerforms duties as assignedEducation and/or ExperienceA positive attitude, self-confidence, professionalism, and keen sense of accountabilityExcellent attention to detailKnowledge of social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)Creative and solution-minded individual •Strong organizational and time management skillsExcellent writing and editing skillsGeneral knowledge of baseball is preferredAbility to build relationships, work and contribute to a team-based environment and deliver excellence in client serviceAbility to work extended or unpredictable hours on weekdays, weekends and holidays as neededAbility to use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop, and PremiereUnderstanding of video production, story structure, and visual storytellingShared passion for the business and a desire to positively influence the businessWork EnvironmentJob may require employee to function in a in a high activity and heavily crowded outdoor professional sports venue/environment. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 30 pounds. Must be able to stand for up to four (4) hours at a time. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus. Ability to write, read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.Position Type and Expected Hours of WorkThis is a part-time and seasonal position. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be available to work weekdays, weeknights, and weekends during baseball season. Must be available to arrive up to one (1) hour prior to game time.TravelTravel is not expected in this role.
