Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for managing general ledger activities, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policy, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. The ideal candidate will be capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment and play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting compliance initiatives, and driving continuous improvement in financial processes.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Record financial transactions, prepare and review account analyses
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, investigate discrepancies and resolve issues promptly
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure proper cost capture and reporting
• Monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory and company policy requirements
• Assist with audits, providing required documentation and explanation
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and variances and provide actionable insights
• Mentor and manage accounting staff
• Document accounting procedures and contribute to process improvement initiatives
  

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or another related field; CPA certification or progress toward CPA preferred
• 2+ years accounting experience, transportation/logistics industry experience preferred
• Strong analytical and numerical aptitude, must have a working knowledge of GAAP
• Experience with general ledger functions and financial close process as well as accounting software and ERP/TMS systems (Acumatica and Magnus preferred)
• Strong computer skills, including advanced Excel functions
• Ability to work independently on various projects and manage multiple deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication and organization skills
