This position is located onsite in Irving, Texas.
Salary: $60,000 - $75,000 base + bonus potential + Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401k, EAP, etc.
Our client is seeking a meticulous and insightful Financial Analyst to play a key role in their financial planning and analysis functions.
You will leverage your strong foundation in accounting principles and proven experience in reporting and analysis to dissect financial data, generate accurate and timely reports, and provide valuable insights that drive strategic decision-making across the organization.
This role demands a solid grasp of accounting practices, sales performance analysis, financial modeling techniques, and the ability to clearly and effectively communicate complex financial information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports regularly, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and critical financial metrics.
- Conduct in-depth analyses of financial data for routine reporting cycles and ad-hoc requests.
- Identify trends, discrepancies, and potential areas for operational and financial improvement through rigorous data analysis.
- Develop and maintain budgets and financial forecasts by examining historical performance and collaborating with company leaders to understand future revenue, costs, and KPI projections.
- Investigate and explain variances between actual financial results and budgets or forecasts.
- Work closely with the finance team to understand the drivers of variances and help develop corrective actions.
- Develop user-friendly sales reports for the sales department, providing clear visibility into progress against goals.
- Partner with sales teams to understand their evolving reporting needs, implement necessary revisions, and ensure accurate and insightful sales data capture.
- Build and maintain sophisticated financial models to support strategic decision-making, scenario planning, and forecasting future performance.
- Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel skills to develop robust financial projections.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as directed by management.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and organizational goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, accounting, or related roles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Power BI, financial modeling techniques, and accounting software.
- Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial statements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex financial information effectively to diverse audiences.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
