Role and Responsibilities

The Cost Estimator - Analyst will support program, acquisition, and financial support capabilities for space-related research, development, production, and lifecycle activities. The candidate will provide cost estimation and acquisition program support to government customers in the VA, MD, DC metro area.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, mathematics, statistics, economics, engineering, computer science, or a STEM field.
  • US Citizen with an active Secret clearance.
  • Experience with federal government programs and cost estimation tools (e.g., ACEIT, USCM, SEER, MS Office, PRICE, SMC).
  • Proven expertise in complex IT, simulations, models, and advising decision-makers on cost issues.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and handle multiple assignments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to work independently.
Description of Duties
  • Develop cost estimates across all acquisition lifecycle phases, including software cost estimating.
  • Support in preparing program cost analysis documents, historical data analysis, market surveys, economic analyses, and lifecycle cost evaluations.
  • Analyze contractor cost data and estimates for consistency with government procedures.
  • Apply program management and systems engineering experience to develop solutions.
  • Create strategic briefings and reports on technical, programmatic, and financial issues.
  • Manage information requests and conduct research to provide recommendations.
