We are currently looking for an individual who likes challenges to fulfill thefull-time position as aBookkeeper in the Accounting Department.

Expertise and Experience:
- Knowledge of QuickBooks, Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Knowledge of accounting/book-keeping program (QuickBooks)
- Minimum one year of book-keeping experience
- Exceptional organization and multitasking skills
- Attention to accuracy and details
Education:
Diploma or Certificate in Book-keeping or Accounting
If hired, what will you be doing at LabTest? Duties and responsibilities
As a Bookkeeper, key duties will include, but not limited to the following:
Account Receivable
- Prepare and send customer invoices on a timely manner basis on appropriate approval and as per defined process by the accounting department
- Ensures payment is received and applied to the correct customers account.
- Process and record credit card transactions
- Follow-up with customers on past-due accounts
- Creating correct Customer database in books of accounts
- Reconciling customer accounts on a quarterly basis
Account Payable
- Creating correct database of Vendor / Supplier accounts
- Prepare and send purchase orders to vendors with appropriate approval
- Enters all incoming approved vendor bills in a timely manner
- Enters all approved employee expenses
- Processing all Vendor/Supplier payments in a timely manner
Filing and Report Preparation
- Completes filing as necessary for the Accounting Department as needed
- Prepares monthly invoicing reports as instructed
- Prepares monthly sales commission reports as instructed
Taxes
- Prepare and file payroll tax returns (e.g., 941, 940, state unemployment and withholding taxes) in a timely and accurate manner.
- Reconcile payroll tax liabilities with general ledger and payroll system records.
- Maintain and update tax rate tables and jurisdictional codes in payroll software.
- Resolve tax discrepancies with federal, state, and local agencies.
- Process W-2 and W-2c forms, as well as annual reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with IRS and state regulations, including monitoring changes in tax laws.
- Respond to tax notices and manage audits from tax authorities.
Banking
- Checking banking transactions daily and informing LC-Certification on any deposit
- Posting all banking transactions (Cash inflow and Cash Outflow) in QuickBooks on
- Performs monthly Bank reconciliations
- Performs monthly Credit Card reconciliations
- Deposit Cheques in bank account
- Issuing Cheque / Wire / EFT payments to Vendors
- Post and reconcile inter-company transactions
- Administrative tasks around the office, as needed
Payroll
- Enters all employees weekly approved timesheets in QuickBooks for payroll processing as per cut off date and time defined by accounting department
- Enter all approved contractor invoices for professional fee or payroll processing
