Instructor must role model the YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility and work daily to develop personal and meaningful relationships with members, volunteers, donors and community.Implement aerobics exercise, mind-body, or basic fitness classesTeach fitness classes; develop fitness routines, exercises, and choreography for participantsPromote programs to members and participantsRecord participant counts, distribute and collect program evaluationsMaintain minimum class attendance standard Provides exceptional customer service and fosters connections with membersParticipating and satisfactory completion of in-service trainingsCreate an environment that is welcoming, nurturing, and welcoming for all members and guestsQualificationsMust be at least 18 years oldHigh School Diploma or equivalentRequired certifications: Nationally Recognized Group Exercise Certification (ACE, NASM, ISSA, NETA, AFAA) and/or specialized format certification (SilverSneakers, Zumba, LesMills, etc.) Complete required certifications within 30 days of hireComplete all required Branch and Position specific trainings as required within two weeks of hireAbility to obtain a criminal record clearance
