SUMMARY : The MattLaw bookkeeper position requires oversight and management of multiple accounts, including client trust accounts, client cost accounts, and operating accounts for multiple organizations.
The position also involves budgeting, forecasting, working directly with the marketing department and the director of operations. Additionally, it requires in-house auditing of financial documents and dual reconciliation of accounting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Management of all financial accounts, including:
- Banking checking accounts
- Reconcile intercompany transactions
- Credit card accounts
- Bank loans
- Closing statements for client cases
- Cost statements for individual clients
- Manage case closings:
- Input checks for disbursement for client case closings
- Schedule disbursements
- Reconcile closings
- Manage deposits of trust funds
- Prepare information for the firms CPA
- Manage lines of credit
- Payroll preparation
- Human Resources
- Track and pay Florida Sales and Use Tax
- Report monthly activity by company
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED :
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Bondable by a surety
- Professional in punctuality and appearance
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Efficient and able to complete projects within deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude, cooperative, respectful of colleagues, and a team player
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient in QuickBooks, Quicken, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and Slack

Compensation: $75,000.00 per year
