This position assembles and installs copper bus and other accessories, into medium voltage (5-38kv) switchgear assemblies. These assemblies will reside at power substations and distribute power to homes and businesses around the world. In this function you will: Install, copper bus bars into medium voltage switchgear assemblies. Utilize drawings and schematics, as well as tape measures to ensure all installed components are within tolerance. Fabricate and install additional accessories (boots, clastic, additional wiring) into the switchgear assemblies Able to stand, sit, bend and work from a ladder throughout the day, some parts maybe be heavy to some operators Assembly includes some wiring tasks as needed Inspect all assemblies for loose or missing hardware and cleanliness Respond to change notices, customer requested adjustments and development needs Assist in the development of standard prints Focus on safety, customer service, quality, productivity High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future Must live within a 50 - mile radius of Omaha, NE (Active - Duty military are exempt from the geographical requirement) 1-year related experience in electrical wiring in a manufacturing environment Ability to read and interpret drawings or wire diagrams Experience with precisions measuring devices, hand/power tools, and torque wrenches Working knowledge of the mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures of a manufacturing facility Ability to lift up to 35 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodations Ability to kneel, stoop, squat, and move up and down ladders, as it relates to handling materials Must be willing to work overtime as required, including weekends and evenings Good problem solving and troubleshooting ability Excellent history of work performance, teamwork and attendance LI-SD1 IND456 We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
