As a Senior Contract Administration Analyst, you will be working with Argonnes stakeholders, Department of Energy officials, and external organizations to advance the Sponsored Research Office (SRO) mission to bring funds into Argonne to enable research activities. Main duties include processing Strategic Partnership Projects (SPP), Technical Service Agreements (TSA), and Cooperative Research Development (CRADA) proposal approval packages; assisting research divisions with processing efforts including guidance on practices and procedures, discussing priorities, and addressing urgent matters; ensuring compliance with Argonnes policies and procedures, DOE Prime Contract, and applicable DOE/NNSA federal and state regulations and contractual requirements; working with Argonne legal, IP and Commercialization, Finance, and Contract teams to address issues and barriers; reviewing BAA, FOA and other funding opportunities to determine eligibility and seeking concurrence from the DOE ASO when required; and helping identify and improve internal processes and systems. As a Lead Analyst, additional responsibilities include assisting the Director of Sponsored Research with DOE site office alignments, briefings, and various strategic lab-wide projects. Position requirements include knowledge and understanding of funding eligibility, funds-in requirements, documentation development, approvals, and contracting processes; knowledge of Government regulations related to SPP, Funding Opportunities, and CRADA; creative and analytical problem solving and reasoning skills; exceptional attention to detail; organizational and project management skills; ability to work independently with high initiative in a fast-paced environment; verbal and written communication skills; leadership and mentoring skills; proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with business intelligence databases; and ability to model Argonnes Core Values. Preferred qualifications include a degree in Business Administration, Finance or related fields, experience in Sponsored Research in federal or academic research institutions, and skills to interpret government funding regulations and related policies. The selected candidate will be placed at PA3 or PA4 level depending on experience. This position description is not exhaustive and other duties may be assigned.
