Position Summary
Antares Therapeutics is looking for an energetic, proactive, and people-centered Office Manager to join our team. This role is a key part of our People & Culture department and serves as the go-to person for all things related to employee experience and office operations. You'll wear many hats-part culture builder, part office lead, part HR support and help shape a workplace that's welcoming, efficient, and full of positive energy.
Key Responsibilities
Office Management
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Boston office, ensuring a clean, organized, well-stocked, and welcoming environment.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for office vendors, building management, and facilities-related services.
  • Manage inventory and ordering of office supplies, snacks, beverages, and amenities; coordinate space planning and caf equipment needs.
  • Perform general front desk and reception duties, including greeting guests, managing the general voicemail inbox mail and package handling, and ensuring a professional front-of-house presence.
  • Support visitor logistics, including tracking via Envoy, coordinating parking passes, and communicating with building security to manage guest access and loaner badges.
  • Oversee relationships with service providers and support the upkeep of office furniture, appliances, and shared spaces.
  • Perform general upkeep of the kitchen and common areas.
  • Assist with employee and guest travel arrangements, hotel bookings, catered lunches, and ad-hoc office needs.
  • Lead efforts to promote workplace safety, comfort, and efficiency.
  • Handle additional tasks and special projects as needed to support smooth office operations and employee experience.
People & Culture Operations
  • Lead the onsite new hire onboarding experience, including workspace setup, IT coordination, access passes, seating, and warm welcomes.
  • Serve as the primary onsite resource and trusted partner for employees' questions about general HR topics.
  • Partner with People & Culture to propose and implement initiatives that bring our values to life and champion an inclusive, connected, and fun employee experience.
  • Organize and execute recurring cultural touchpoints such as weekly Family Lunches, birthday celebrations, team shoutouts, and milestone events.
  • Plan and support community-building activities including cocktail hours, volunteer days, offsite outings, and quarterly team events in collaboration with cross-functional partners.
  • Collaborate on employee engagement and recognition programs that highlight accomplishments and strengthen team connection.
  • Gather feedback from employees to continuously improve events, culture-building efforts, and inclusivity across activities.
  • Support additional People & Culture projects based on interest, experience, and organizational needs, helping to shape and advise the evolving culture strategy.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in office management & operations, people operations, and event planning.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with a keen eye for logistics and a knack for anticipating needs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; approachable and solutions oriented.
  • Experience in creating high-impact employee events or engagement programs.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Slack, and Zoom.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-moving, mission-driven environment.
  • Experience in biotech, life sciences, or high-growth startups is a strong plus.
