About The Role
The Product Compliance Analyst will be responsible for managing SERFF submissions and advising on product development to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements
What You'll Do
  • Work closely with Actuarial, Claims, Project Management, Underwriting and IT in the development of the product portfolio, and in the processes required to generate, file, and otherwise maintain contracts, riders, endorsements, and other filed policy-related forms
  • Conduct research and analysis on competitor products, market needs, and emerging issues to make recommendations for changes or additions to products
  • Develop contracts, policy forms policyholder notifications and rules as well as any supporting information for products
  • Submit state filings through SERFF; oversee and coordinate process for responding to state objections
  • Track, analyze and interpret laws and regulations relevant to lif.
  • Create e and annuity insurance for purposes of determining impact to product filing process
  • Oversee product life cycle to implement changes
  • Interact with other key stakeholders with respect to product features and product development strategy
  • Prepare filing memos, forms listing, certifications, and other documentation required for filing submissions
  • Submit regulatory filings required to be submitted via SERFF
  • Track current and prior regulatory filings, state objections and approvals for compliance reviews and audits
  • Create and maintain a repository of all filed and approved forms
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree preferred.
  • 5-8 years life and annuities experience.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard life and annuity insurance product filings and NAIC Compact/non-Compact requirements
Skills/Competencies
  • Proficient in SERFF filings
  • Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Adobe
  • Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish working relationships with individuals at varying levels within the organization
  • Demonstrated integrity within a professional environment
  • Ability to adapt to new situations and learn quickly
  • Demonstrates a general understanding of the insurance industry and organizational relationships of the company
  • High degree of initiative, mature judgment, and discretion
  • Works independently with little supervision
