We have an opening for a PRN Pharmacy Technician-Inpatient in our inpatient pharmacy. As the Pharmacy Tech you procure and distribute medication orders per physician request, pharmacist request, or prearranged work assignment according to established policies, procedures and protocols.SCHEDULEPRN - As needed to backfill employee time-off, vacations, etc.QUALIFICATIONSEducation:High School Diploma or equivalentPharmacy Tech Certification from the State Board of Pharmacy (DORA) preferred.Will consider candidates with provisional certification from the State Board of Pharmacy (DORA).Experience:2-3 years pharmacy technician, inpatient or outpatient experience preferred.Skills:Ability to work accurately with attention to detail. Ability to work cooperatively with hospital and pharmacy staff.Ability to respond quickly to emergency requests. Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule. Ability to set priorities and solve problems.Ability to communicate effectively (orally and in writing).We are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States.
