Sr. Associate, Finance & Accounting Recruiting at Vaco - Atlanta

Role: Accounting Specialist
Location: Midtown - Atlanta
On-Site (Mon-Thurs), potential hybrid flexibility
Vaco is partnering with a large, publicly traded organization seeking an Accounting Specialist for one of their subsidiaries in Atlanta. Candidates must have 5+ years of Accounting and AR/Billing experience along with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Finance.
This role is on-site 4x a week (Mon-Thurs) and located in midtown Atlanta.
Key Responsibilities
General Accounting
* Post revenue-related journal entries
* Keep documentation audit-ready
* Contribute to process improvement projects
Accounts Receivable
* Create and send invoices based on contracts
* Apply customer payments (check, ACH, wire)
* Reconcile AR ledger and ensure accurate balances
Accounts Payable
* Process vendor invoices and payments
* Handle check runs and electronic transfers
* Maintain vendor files and help with 1099 reporting
Job Cost Accounting
* Coordinate with facilities to match billing with budgets
* Prepare cost analysis reports
* Resolve discrepancies in job cost tracking
Qualifications
* Bachelors in Accounting/Finance (required)
* 5+ years' experience in Accounting & AR/Billing (required)
* ERP/accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Dynamics GP)
* Strong Excel ability (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, reconciliations) (required)
* Detail-oriented with great organizational and communication skills
* Good job stability & local candidates will be considered.
