Description
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY - FINANCIAL ANALYST
Reporting to the Manager of Budgeting and Analysis, the Financial Analyst will leverage a strong accounting and modeling background to review and report financial data, predict future results, and drive process and policy improvements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other Duties May Be Assigned)
- Assist with financial planning and modeling. Create in-depth financial models using databases, Excel, and other software.
- Apply statistical techniques to address practical issues in a casino environment.
- Create mathematical models to improve analytical tools or research performance of games and promotions.
- Investigate methods to analyze slot play, table games, and marketing and entertainment events.
- Support the annual budgeting process, assist with cost and variance analyses.
- Analyze performance of slot machines and opportunities to improve profits.
- Use financial analyses and industry trends to compile data for planning meetings.
- Create executive-level presentations.
- Prepare audit reports to ensure compliance with policies and standards.
- Maintain fiscal budget reporting and monitor monthly variances.
- Assist departments with budget or G/L inquiries.
- Create and oversee revenue and expense reports for the Marketing Department.
- Generate weekly reports on casino revenues, mailers, promotions, and events.
- Assist Database Marketing with tracking offers.
- Provide excellent guest service to guests and internal clients.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable internal controls, SOPs, and tribal regulations.
Qualifications
- BA in Business Administration or equivalent; MBA preferred.
- Experience in Gaming or Resort/Hospitality preferred or a combination of education and experience.
- Competent in preparing financial statements and reports.
- Experience with SQL, Access, or other databases required.
- IGT Advantage experience a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (VLOOKUPs, charts, pivot tables, PowerPivot).
- Goal-oriented with a strong desire to learn and implement best practices.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands
Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs, use office equipment, and work throughout the office and property, including walking, climbing stairs, and sitting at a desk. Environment is typically moderate noise level.
