Engaging | Creative | Fun | Flexible Jovie is looking for experienced caregivers to help provide care to our local families on the evenings and weekends. The flexible babysitting gig would be 3+ hours during the days of Friday through Sunday and the times of 4pm-Midnight. Care would possibly include making and providing meals, engaging in activities such as arts and crafts, board/card games, baking, outdoor play, bedtime routine, and staying with the children until the parents arrive home. About you:You will be able to provide 3 references, 2 must be from working with childrenPersonal experience is important! If you're a big sister/brother and have taken care of your younger siblings for many years, this could be considered great experience to work with usYou have relatable childcare experience (special needs experience a plus) and the desire to work one-on-one with children in their home, putting safety above all elseYou have a reliable vehicle and valid driver's licenseYou're already CPR/First Aid Certified or willing to beYou are available to work at least 2 shifts per week (Friday through Sunday from the hours of 4p-Midnight)Working Conditions and Requirements:Work environment will be active, kid-centric and includes clean up of activitiesPart of each day may be spent outside, weather permitting, and will be active playEssential Physical Requirements:Position involves regular lifting, bending, squatting, reaching and pushingMust be able to lift 35 pounds safelyMust be able to get up from and down to the floor numerous times throughout the dayWill need to be able to react quickly to certain situationsMay need to react to emergent situations in a calm, effective and safe manner*Please note that during this time of COVID-19, Jovie expects all employees to follow CDC guidelines and ensure best hygiene practices when working and in their personal time.
