Fieldpiece is hiring a Staff Accountant to join our growing team! This role will handle typical staff accountant responsibilities, including preparing VAT/GST and SALT tax reports for external accountants. You will ensure the accuracy of accounting records, ledgers, and accounts in line with GAAP and Fieldpiece processes. We use MS Dynamics Business Central and plan to implement Avalara for taxes.

What Youll Do

• Maintain fixed assets and property tax records; ensure completed property tax filings.
• Assist with annual financial statement audits and tax return preparation.
• Coordinate with CPA firms to ensure timely filing of tax and VAT/GST returns.
• Prepare and file SALT returns.
• Ensure accurate general ledgers and subledgers for all entities.
• Prepare journal entries and reconcile bank accounts.
• Prepare account schedules and reconciliations.
• Generate and analyze financial and operational reports; prepare reports for regulatory agencies, banks, and external parties.
• Assist with monthly close cycle and financial statements.

What You Bring

• Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of staff accounting experience.
• Experience with cloud ERP systems (MS Dynamics preferred) and tax software (Avalara preferred).
• Multi-entity and multi-currency experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of SALT and VAT/GST requirements.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
• Excellent communication skills.

The California base salary for this role ranges from $85,000 to $100,000 plus bonus. Compensation is based on role, experience, and other factors. We discuss more during the hiring process.
