Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Tax and Accounting Associate (CPA) for a well-established and mission-aligned professional services firm in Pasadena, California. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity to join a dynamic, collaborative team in delivering high-quality tax and accounting solutions to a wide range of clients.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Tax and Accounting Associate (CPA) will play a critical role in preparing and reviewing complex tax filings and financial analyses across diverse client accounts. This role partners closely with attorneys, fiduciaries, wealth advisors, and internal teams to provide strategic financial insight and ensure compliance with all relevant tax and accounting standards. The successful candidate will embody the firms core values of integrity, hard work, excellence, and collaboration.

- Prepare and review complex tax filings and related financial documentation
- Conduct accounting analyses and provide strategic recommendations to internal teams and clients
- Collaborate with attorneys, wealth advisors, and fiduciaries to collect data and resolve tax or financial planning matters
- Research relevant tax issues and keep current with updates in accounting standards and regulations
- Maintain accurate and compliant documentation and time records
- Contribute to cross-departmental planning and firm initiatives as needed
- Active CPA license
- At least three years of relevant tax and accounting experience
- Proficiency in GAAP and familiarity with federal and state tax regulations
- Skilled in tax software platforms such as Lacerte, CCH Axcess, or similar
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to work collaboratively
This full-time, on-site position offers a competitive annual salary of up to $135,000 depending on experience, along with a robust benefits package including health coverage, retirement plan, and professional development support.
