Child And Youth Services Supervisory Program Specialist
This position is located at Defense Logistics Agency's Columbus, OH location with the Child and Youth Services Division. Responsibilities include supervising CYS direct care staff, providing program oversight and accountability, monitoring and analyzing adult/participant ratio sheets, assisting with recruitment and selection of caregiving staff, supervising and evaluating employees, and planning activities and special events that meet the physical, social, emotional and cognitive needs of children and youth. Acts as Assistant Director or Director in their absence up to 20% of the time. May work in additional CYS facilities for the purposes of providing management oversight for evening or weekend openings.
Requirements include successful completion of a bachelor's degree or higher that included or was supplemented by major study in the fields appropriate to the position, experience supervising or leading caregivers within child/youth facility-based programs, experience managing a classroom setting within child and youth programs, experience implementing and overseeing a structured child and youth program curriculum, and demonstrated verbal communication skills gained through conducting training, delivering presentations, conducting meetings with parents and/or staff, or similar.
