Pay Rate: $26.50 per hour JOB SUMMARY You will play a crucial role in the timely delivery and pickup of containers to and from customer locations. Your goal is to ensure a smooth and incident-free transport experience while building positive relationships with our customers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Operate a commercial truck equipped with a patented lift mechanism to safely load and unload containers at customer sites, adhering to all safety regulations. Conduct daily pre and post-trip inspections of the commercial vehicle and lift, logging any findings. Complete additional delivery tasks as needed to support business demands. Utilize a company-provided handheld computer for delivery verification and navigation. Operate a forklift and/or overhead crane as required. Maintain cleanliness of containers to ensure they are presentable for customer delivery. Manage rental documentation and payments in collaboration with customers. Communicate effectively with the Driver Lead or Market Manager regarding customer inquiries or issues, and prepare necessary driver notes. Perform repairs on containers and lifts, both in the field and at the storage center. Provide support for storage center operations when necessary. Ensure the cleanliness of the truck cab, keeping it free from debris inside and out. May undertake additional tasks as assigned. MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position typically reports to Management, with direct supervisors being the Market Manager or Territory Manager. This role does NOT have direct management responsibilities for other employees. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Valid CDL Class B License without air brake restriction is required. Must maintain a valid driver license. Meet PODS Driver Qualification Standards. Must be at least 21 years of age due to insurance requirements. Hold a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate or have the ability to obtain a minimum of a one-year certification (DOT requirement). Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software is preferred. Possess sufficient math skills to perform required duties effectively. Alternatively, an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience may be considered. Willingness to attend the required 2-week New Hire Driver Training Program.
