Join our dynamic team as a Senior Software Engineer focused on Body Control Systems! In this exciting role, you will design and release embedded software for the Body Control Module (BCM) and Exterior Lighting Module (ELM), shaping the automotive technology of tomorrow.
Your responsibilities will include:
Developing embedded Electronic Control Unit (ECU) software within an Automotive Open System Architecture (AutOSAR).
Creating comprehensive software timing plans to meet program requirements and Module Release Dates (MRD).
Designing, reviewing, integrating, and verifying software calibrations to adhere to vehicle-specific requirements across conventional ICE and Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs), as well as Autonomous vehicles.
Simulating and testing BCM and ELM software features such as power management, steering control, seating adjustments, HVAC systems, and more.
Utilizing a range of tools including MATLAB, Simulink, and IBM Rhapsody for software development and testing.
Acting as a Subject Matter Expert to ensure compliance with global vehicle regulations and standards.
Conducting Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and other risk assessments to ensure product excellence.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to lead software projects using Agile methodologies.
Providing training and support to colleagues while participating in daily scrum activities.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Embedded Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Five years of experience in electronics or embedded hardware engineering, or three years with a Master’s degree.
Proven expertise in automotive software development, particularly in Body Controls and AUTOSAR compliance.
Familiarity with vehicle communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and Ethernet, as well as tools like Vehicle Spy and dSPACE.
A strong understanding of vehicle compliance standards including FMVSS and UN ECE.
