AS A DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR YOU WILL: Own, track, and resolve database related incidents Provide 24/7 on-call rotation support to our customers Design and architect new database technologies for CARFAX's products Monitor application related jobs and data replication activities Manage replication between database systems Setup and maintain documentation and standards Plan growth and changes (capacity planning) Perform general technical troubleshooting and give consultation to development teams QUALIFICATIONS: 3+ years experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Cassandra 2+ years experience with relational databases such as Oracle, Postgres, or MySQL 2+ years managing highly available, scalable production systems in a fast-paced production environment Experience with Cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) Understanding of data architecture, replication, and administration A good knowledge of physical database design A good knowledge of security management A good knowledge of data integrity A sound knowledge of both database and system performance tuning Experience with automation tools such as Chef/Puppet Strong communication and collaboration skills ABOUT CARFAX Carfax, a unit of IHS Markit (Nasdaq: INFO), helps millions of people every day confidently shop, buy, own, and sell used cars with innovative solutions powered by Carfax vehicle history information.
