Job Summary
As a CDL A Driver, you will be responsible for the safe delivery and pickup of containers to and from various customer locations. Your role is crucial in maintaining a positive relationship with our customers while ensuring a seamless and incident-free service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Drive and operate a commercial truck equipped with a patented lift mechanism to safely load and unload containers at customer sites, adhering to all required safety protocols.
Conduct and log thorough daily pre and post-trip inspections of the commercial vehicle and lift equipment.
Accept additional deliveries as necessary to align with business needs.
Utilize a company-issued handheld computer for navigation and delivery verification.
Operate forklifts and/or overhead cranes as required.
Ensure all containers are clean and presentable for customer delivery.
Coordinate rental paperwork and payments directly with customers.
Communicate effectively with the Driver Lead or Market Manager regarding customer inquiries and issues, and prepare driver notes as necessary.
Perform repairs on containers and lifts, both in the field and at the storage center.
Provide support for storage center functions when needed.
Maintain a clean and organized truck cab, ensuring it is free from debris both inside and out.
May perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Management & Supervisory Responsibilities
This position reports to Management, with direct supervisors typically including the Market Manager or Territory Manager. This role does not involve managing other employees.
Pay Range:
$29.00 per hour Benefits:

Job Qualifications: Education & Experience Requirements High School diploma or equivalent. Valid CDL Class B License, without air brake restriction. Current/valid driver license is mandatory. Must fulfill PODS Driver Qualification Standards. Must be at least 21 years of age (insurance requirement). Possess a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate or the ability to obtain a minimum one-year certification (DOT requirement). Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software is preferred. Math skills sufficient to perform required duties. Equivalent combination of education, training, or experience may also be considered. Ability to participate in a required 2-week New Hire Driver Training Program.
