Join us at Amazon as a Data Engineer for our Devices Economic Value team! In this exciting role, you will be instrumental in measuring and optimizing the long-term value of Amazon Devices, ensuring we build superior products that deliver lasting value to our customers. As part of the Devices Economic Value team, you will help prioritize innovative investments by understanding how Amazon Devices enhance customer engagement. In this position, you will work on developing robust Marketing Mix Models (MMM) to optimize marketing budgets effectively. Key Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain complex data solutions for Amazon Devices' Marketing Mix Models. Enhance the MMM data infrastructure focusing on scalability, maintainability, and efficiency. Engage in code reviews, design discussions, and ensure operational excellence. Make informed tradeoffs and judiciously manage dependencies within systems. Develop solutions for data auditing and automate manual operational steps to improve data architecture. Own data quality for key datasets and oversee changes/enhancements to existing systems. Your expertise in software systems and AWS tools will help you tackle complex problems and continuously improve processes. About The Team: The DEV Science team's goal is to measure and optimize the long-term economic value of our devices, balancing short and long-term trade-offs. We leverage advancements in causal inference, structural modeling, and machine learning to tackle significant challenges in Amazon Devices. Basic Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in data engineering. Proficiency in data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines. Strong SQL skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with AWS technologies such as Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions. Familiarity with non-relational databases/data stores (e.g., object storage, document or key-value stores, graph databases, column-family databases). We offer competitive compensation reflective of labor costs across various US markets, with base salaries ranging from $118,900 to $205,600, depending on factors such as location, knowledge, skills, and experience.
