Position: .NET Developer - 100% Onsite Location: Montgomery, AL Duration: Multi Year Renewable Contract Open to Relocation Candidates Position Description This position will be supporting the ADPH Vital Statistics System using .Net Core/C#, SQL Server, and Javascript for designing, developing, and maintaining complex software applications. Candidate must have 5+ years of verifiable .Net and SQL Server experience. This contractor must qualify for State of Alabama, Merit employment. It is the intention to convert this contract position to a permanent role within 6 months of employment. Skills Required Solid foundation in C#, with expertise in Core (including MVC), database interaction, and front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and Javascript. Skills Preferred Experience typically 5 to 8 years in programming/systems analysis. Education Required Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience. Additional Information This position supports the Vital Statistics IT team, which manages critical systems including birth, death, marriage, divorce certificates, and related services integrating federal and Social Security data. The team is self-funded and revenue-generating for the state, engaged in a major modernization effort migrating legacy web forms to updated platforms using C# and .NET Core.
