The Wearable AI Team at Meta is searching for a visionary technical leader to drive the development of next-generation AI experiences for smart devices. Your expertise will help shape the core AI technology behind Meta's Smart Glasses and future devices, creating a new computing platform enriched with sophisticated AI capabilities. We are building on the technology of our Multimodal AI Assistant, launched on Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses last year, with the ambition to develop a human-like Assistant that perceives, listens, and assists users seamlessly. We seek a forward-thinking leader to accelerate our agentic AI initiatives, crafting adaptable and autonomous systems that reason, plan effectively, and utilize tools to cater to diverse user needs. Key Responsibilities: Technical Leadership:
Offer guidance in developing cutting-edge AI solutions. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with product, design, research, and engineering teams to translate research into aligned production systems and launch innovative AI experiences. System Design:
Architect scalable and reliable AI systems that promote user adoption. Research & Development:
Engage in groundbreaking R&D in areas such as GenAI, LLMs, and NLU/P/G, focusing on agentic systems, strategic reasoning, planning, and memory management in restricted environments. Technical Adaptability:
Stay informed on AI advancements and adapt tools and frameworks accordingly. Team Development:
Mentor team members to support their growth and drive innovation. Communication:
Effectively convey complex technical ideas to various stakeholders, including executives. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 3+ years of experience managing research scientists, applied scientists, and ML engineers, with a demonstrated leadership record. Experience in research and production related to NLP, NLU, NLG, IR, GenAI, RL, Personalization, Agents, and Deep Learning. 3+ years developing LLM algorithms/systems throughout both pre-training and post-training phases. 5+ years of hands-on experience in deep learning. Preferred Qualifications: MSc or PhD in ML, CS, electrical engineering, neuroscience, statistics, or related fields. First-author publications in top AI conferences such as ICLR, ICML, NeurIPS, ACL, AAAI, EMNLP, CVPR, MLSys. Research and production experience in agentic AI, reinforcement learning, LLM alignment, memory, and personalization. Proficiency with inference, memory optimization, quantization, and sparsity. Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks such as AutoGen, LangGraph, and LangChain. About Meta:
