Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager in Dayton, OH. MTSI is seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager who will provide Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) to AFRL for technology development projects. The Technical Project Manager will provide project management, acquisition support, and technical oversight of customer development efforts. The Technical Project Manager will assist the AFRL team with the creation and coordination of cost, schedule, and contracts documentation and assist with the planning and execution of multiple technology development efforts. Responsibilities: Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to: * Provide project management, acquisition support, and technical oversight of customer development efforts. * Perform project manager duties to ensure efficient execution of assigned efforts. * Work closely with program managers, lead project engineers, contracts, finance, and program teams. * Maintain awareness of day-to-day issues and plan/prepare for significant project events. * Assist in the preparation and release of Broad Area Announcements (BAAs) and contract documents. * Coordinate project direction, including technical development and financial execution. * Provide technical support to the entire project team and provide status updates to the Government leadership team. * Assist with identifying and mitigating risks to technology development projects. * Create and coordinate DD 254s with the program staff and industry. * Review contract deliverables, integrated schedules, technical status reports, and cost performance reports and provide assessments to the Government team. * Advise engineers on developments in industry, university, foundation research. * Participate in working groups and team planning offsites. * Up to 10% travel in support of program reviews and technical interface exchange meetings. Qualifications: Qualifications Required: * Minimum of 20 years of Program/Project Management or Project Engineer experience. * Experience working on Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition projects. * Experience managing DoD acquisition programs, including DoD contracting, program management strategies, J&A documents, Acquisition Strategy Plans, CDRLs, and assisting with SOW and S&O creation for R&D activities. * Functional experience managing R&D contracts involving financial management, funding obligation, expenditure planning, tracking, and coordinating significant project events such as PDRs, CDRs, and test events. * Experience handling classified data from multiple sources, including assisting in generating DD 254s. * Additional qualifications include: o Exceptional verbal and written communication skills o Strong attention to detail and analytical skills o Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) o Ability to work independently and as part of a team o Good interpersonal skills in a high-caliber team environment Education: * Bachelor's degree in business, economics, program management, math, or engineering. * Preferably DAWIA Program Manager Level 3, STM Level 3, or PMP certification. Desired Skills: * Experience supporting DoD technology development efforts. * Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Project for financial and schedule analysis.
