Cybersecurity Specialist

We invite you to apply for the exciting role of Cybersecurity Specialist at Cornerstone OnDemand. This position offers a hybrid work model with a primary base in our Santa Monica office. As a Cybersecurity Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in protecting Cornerstone OnDemand from various cybersecurity threats while collaborating closely with our technology teams to establish best security practices. In this role, you will: Conduct thorough evaluations and enforce security and compliance controls. Perform technical assessments using industry-standard tools like Nessus, Security Hub, Prisma Cloud, and Burp Suite Pro. Assist in maintaining and enhancing documentation to support ongoing compliance efforts. Work with the Global Information Security and Compliance team to implement security standards across the organization. Assess security and compliance of IT systems against best practices and regulatory requirements. Communicate findings clearly to ensure that security vulnerabilities are prioritized and addressed effectively. Evaluate cybersecurity documentation in line with FISMA, NIST RMF, FedRAMP, among others. Help prepare for internal and external audits and manage on-demand security assessments. Research emerging technologies to enhance security measures. Utilize cybersecurity tools like eMASS, ZenGRC, and RegScale to automate compliance and risk assessments. Qualifications: U.S. Citizenship is required for this role, especially in the Federal and DoD environments. A willingness to obtain a US Government security clearance if necessary. A bachelor's degree in IT/Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience. At least four years of experience in technology, IT security, or compliance roles. Familiarity with compliance and regulatory programs such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, FISMA/FedRAMP, PCI, etc. Solid understanding of security-related technologies including firewalls, IDS/IPS, IAM, and vulnerability management tools. Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
