We are seeking an experienced Cyber & Security Product Owner to lead the development and delivery of cybersecurity capabilities and solutions. This role requires a security-focused product professional who can translate complex security requirements into actionable product roadmaps while ensuring mission-critical systems maintain the highest levels of security and compliance. Key Responsibilities Security Product Strategy Define and communicate product vision, strategy, and roadmap for cybersecurity capabilities Align security product development with risk management objectives Conduct threat landscape analysis and security gap assessments to inform product decisions Establish security metrics and key performance indicators for product effectiveness Lead security product planning sessions with stakeholders and development teams Requirements Management Collaborate with security architects, analysts, and operational teams to gather security requirements Translate security policies, compliance mandates, and threat intelligence into user stories Maintain and prioritize the security product backlog based on risk, impact, and strategic importance Ensure security requirements traceability from policies through implementation Conduct regular security-focused backlog refinement sessions Stakeholder Engagement Serve as primary liaison between security teams, compliance officers, and development teams Interface with security leadership Coordinate with other Product Owners to ensure security integration across all products Facilitate security reviews and risk assessment meetings Support security audits and compliance validation activities Agile Security Leadership Lead sprint planning with security-first approach and threat modeling considerations Make real-time decisions on security trade-offs and risk acceptance during development Champion secure development practices and DevSecOps methodologies Integrate security testing and validation into agile delivery processes Support continuous security improvement and threat response initiatives Security Delivery Management Oversee end-to-end delivery of security capabilities from concept to deployment Coordinate security tool integration and security control implementation Manage security capability releases with focus on zero-downtime deployments Ensure security acceptance criteria and compliance requirements are met Monitor post-deployment security posture and incident response effectiveness Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, security product management, or related roles Minimum 3 years of experience with agile development methodologies in security contexts Experience with security architecture, risk management, and compliance frameworks Security Clearance Current Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) security clearance required Professional Certifications CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) required CASP+ (CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner) required Additional security certifications preferred (CISM, CISA, CEH, etc.) Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Cybersecurity or related field Additional advanced security certifications (CISSP concentrations, SABSA, etc.) Certified Product Owner (CPO) or equivalent agile certification Experience in defense, intelligence, or government contracting environments Background in penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, or security research Knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning security implications Experience with security compliance auditing and risk management frameworks Salary range for the position is $153,000 - $173,000 per year. Specific compensation will be determined by several factors including experience, education, skills, and knowledge. We also offer medical/dental/vision benefits and 401k contribution.
